Will I be able to sell these items at my yard sale or is it better to donate them?

I'm debating on rather to try and sell these hard to sell items in another yard sale or to donate them to the local Good Will drop off nearby. I've noticed that particular items don't seem to sell that well such as- books ( paperback or hard cover), cassettes ( various music) News Flash, I know these are out dated! cd's would go better, and I'm torn between taking one particular item to the scrap yard or just selling separately. Let me explain- I have this great brown iron/glass table top 5pc.patio set. The table and chairs are in great shape except I had to pitch the seats as they dry rotted. So, I need to know if the table can be sold by itself and scap the iron chairs w/o seats or try and sell them dirt cheap and hope some fixer upper kind of person takes it as a set.??? what to do!

  1. I'd take the books and donate them to a local library.. the tapes you can try to sell cheap at a yard sale.. or donate to a thrift shop.. as far as the patio set, I'd sale the table.. and scrap the chairs.

  2. Books - try to sell them for a quarter each or 10 for $2.00.  If they don't sell, give them to the library for their book sales. Take any offer.

Cassettes - unless they're a big name, give them to Goodwill or the library.  Take any offer.

CD's - try them for 50 cents each, 3/$1... Again, take any offer.  if they don't sell give them to the library (Most libraries have a Friends of the Library group which holds regular sales of books (hard cover and paperback, CD's, records, and sometimes cassettes.

Try to sell the table and chairs as a set for a dirt cheap price, $5 or $10.  If somebody just wants the table, sell it, and take the chairs to your local recycling company.
