  1. Yes... all doctoral degrees are Dr.'s... Most use the Dr. title, but Lawyers (J.D.'s) don't usually call themselves doctors.


  2. They are called Dr. when being addressed by students or other members of their profession.

    Usually when material is addressed to a someone or when they send something out with an Ed. D or a PhD it is  (name, Ed. D.)
