Will I be charged long distance if I receive an out of state call?

I share a landline with my family, and I have a good friend that just moved out of state. She got a new cell phone, with a new area code and number. I'm just wondering, will I get charged with long distance when she calls me on her cell to my landline? Or will I even be charged anything for receiving the call? I dont know if it makes a difference, but I have AT&T for long distance. Help would be very appreciated, thank you.

  1. No, you will not be charged anything, as she will be making the phone call, not you. If it was to your mobile phone, then you would be charged for the air time, but since it's a landline, you'll get charged absolutely nothing.

  2. You're only charged for long distance calls that you make.
