Will I be expected to study my AP Euro summer work?

ok i have to read and outline 3 chapters from the textbook...which i'm doing....but should i study it too???

Last year I took AP euro and my teacher assigned us an in class essay two days after school started. I would say look over everything, make sure you read it but dont spend too much time cause the teacher would probably reinforce what you read and make it easier for you to study. Good luck in AP Euro, hated that class!!!!!

You should definitely study it. You don't have to go crazy with it and memorize the 3 chapters, but you should have a very good knowledge of everything you read.

I'm a Junior this year and I took AP Euro last year. For the summer, we only had to read about 20-25 pages and answer about 13 questions. Our questions, however, were not required. Anywhere from 2-5 times a week, my teacher would give us the same type of assignment (only not as much). The entire year it was not required; we were never asked to turn it in. I did it every single time though, and I can't even begin to tell you how much it helped.

So, it's very good that you're making the outlines for the 3 chapters, but that honestly won't get you anywhere unless you truly KNOW what it is you are outlining. As I I said above, you don't need to know it (at this point) backwards and forwards, but the more you read through it and make notes in the margins, the better you will naturally start to learn it.

And plus, there's always the possibility of a pop quiz on the first day of school. My teacher did that to us as a way to not only test us to make sure we did the summer reading but to make us 'fear' her.

It's a good thing I had studied my outline. ;)

It all depends on the teacher you have.  The information will definately help you for the AP test, so I would study.  I know for all of y AP classes I have always had a test on summer work.

probably. since you will be taking a university-level class, the teacher will probably expect you to study without her/him telling you to.  also, two words: POP QUIZ!!! (teacher's favorite)
