Will I die alone with nobody to care?

Question

I know this is gonna sound like I've got nothing going for myself, or worse yet that I'm a mama's boy, but that's not the case at all. Anyway, I am a guy in my 50's and the only thing I have in this world is my mom. However, she's in her 80's and won't live forever, so I am quite concerned about what I'll do when she's gone. Now, you're probably thinkin' that I don't get out much and that I lead an extremely sheltered life. Again, that is not the case. I DO get out, I meet people, and I make friends. However, all I have are casual friends. I've never had a best friend and I've never had a woman. I'd love to have a girlfriend, but again, I never get past the " casual " stage. I've tried just about everything anybody's ever suggested on here, but nothing ever seems to work. Any words of wisdom I haven't heard before? I'd sure appreciate it...

Geez you sound like me...

Have you tried joining specialty clubs...like ones for boating, hiking, etc...something that interests you. Ask your friends to set you up.

Believe me, there are alot of women out there in the same or a similar situation you are in and they are looking for a nice guy to be time with or spend their life with.

grow some balls and make a move on one of your casual girl friends. move out of your moms house and go call up one of ur guy friends to go drink or something. nothing is going to fall into your lap, and nothing is going to change unless you will it so. forget about the past, and forget about the future, and just live for the present man! if you dont have friends make some friends! if you cant, learn how. you can do anything you set your mind to.

What are you doing now?  Because in the future you will be doing more of the same, unless you do something different.  Everybody is going to die sooner or latter, that is irrelevant.  Take time to go deep inside you(meditate, take time out, spend time alone in a relaxed environment).  Do you believe in a Higher Being?  Ask him to guide you or show you the next step.  Mostly has to do with what you want, in your mind and in your heart , if you are clear about that, that's what you will get. Read, learn investigate, increase your knowledge, work on you appearance, update yourself,  women really appreciate knowledgeable minds, and guys who know how to take care of themselves.  Remember that life starts at fifty.  You know, you can , and you want, because when you are younger , you want and you can, but you don't know.  Best wishes!!!!  About your question, we all die alone because nobody dies with us, just as we are born alone, for the second part of your question, I ask you, do you care about yourself?  Because in order for somebody to care, you have to care first.

even if you die without a serious girlfriend or wife, you will not die alone or with nobody to care. you sound like a well rounded guy and you probably have tons of friends. just think about it, most married men don't have very many friends. i know this isn't much help, i'm in my twenties and still trying to earn my wisdom! :-) i will tell you that there are girls out there who like older men, have you tried younger girls? they would really like the idea that you have no exwife or children for them to have to deal with.
