  1. I think you'll probably be fine since it sounds like you've been practicing regularly. Tomorrow, make sure that you eat a good breakfast full of protein and carbohydrates. Try having something like eggs mixed with lowfat cheese and toast spread with a tablespoon of peanut butter. Remember, this IS the first race of the season so just get out there and have fun, and experiment with what works for you. Since you haven't run a straight three miles in awhile, make sure that you don't go out too hard. Pace yourself, or talk to your coach about your circumstances and how you have been training. He/she might have some suggestions as to how that should coincide with your race strategy. As the season goes on, I'm sure you will begin practicing more endurance runs and going for longer periods of time without walking. This will only help you get better, and you will soon learn the proper way to run your races.

Best of luck tomorrow! Get out there and enjoy yourself :)

  2. you'll probably do okay, but you probably wont place...

running more than what you would run in your meet will help you better so...

  3. psh that wont get anywhere you should be running a low 20min 3 mile if u plan on winning

  4. idk we run 3 miles straight of xc and I went to practice yesterday for the first time in like 2 months and i sucked

  5. If you can run for 20 minutes without stopping, you can finish a 5k (3.1 miles). That's a fact. So just take it easy the first couple miles, easier than you think you should, then see what you have left for the last one. You'll do fine.
