I am a high school junior graduating early, August to be exact. I'm not elligble for fall semester classes at my university so I have to take a semester off or go to community college. The problem is if i go into community college for one semester I may have to enter as a transfer student which requires a full years worth of credits. If i enroll and drop out upon admission to the university in the spring will i be considered a full time student?

  1. You should be covered until 18 even if you are not in high school. You should call the insurance company to verify.

  2. call your agent - most likely you will not receive the student discount if you are not enrolled at the time of policy renewal - but they won't drop you unless you are both above their minimum age and not living at home.

  3. Call your insurance agent. If you don't have a local agent because your insurance is through an internet company, you could try calling any contact number you have for them until you get to talk to someone who can give you advice.

  4. Your parents will need to call their HR department to see how best to handle this situation - every insurance company can do it differently.
