It seems to me that New York has such a pricey rang in houses. Heres the question. Will i ever be able to afford a New York apartment?

I have those same questions myself. It's a shame when $200,000/yr household income doesn't buy you anything. My husband and I make are just making ends meet with $200,000/year and we don't have children. I know there are more things to worry about but I'm entitle to complain too :-(

Yes.  $600,000 for a 600 sq ft apartment.  Monthly payments $4,500 so you better get some roommates.
