i've got a HSBC DEBIT CARD.

Since i did not know that i didn't have enough money in it , i tried to buy something with it twice and it came up with an error saying that the card is not authorised..

and so i did not buy the stuff.

will i get a fine ?

  2. It is called learning to balance a check book.  If you put $500 in your account you need to keep up with the debits.  When you spend the $500 you can't spend any more.  

    You didn't know you did not have enough money?  Why not?  Better start learning now.

  3. Although I agree with the last poster, Im surprised no one has answered your question. If the transaction didn't go through, no you will not be charged a fee. You are very lucky though, because if it did go through, you may have been charged upwards of 29 dollars (depending on the amount, and your bank contract). So consider yourself lucky, and learn to balance your checkbook. Its pretty easy now with the online banking.
