I never did - but there are several things they will caution you against

just ask at your blood bank - they will (and have to) tell you all the possibilities

You shouldn't. It's very safe.   That's why they give you oj and cookies after to make sure you don't become hypoglycemic and developed a headache.or even faint.

What makes you think that donating blood causes headache? You can only get dizziness from the loss of half a litre of blood.

I DONATE BLOOD I HAVE NO GOT A HEADACHE. BUT AFTER I GIVE I GET DIZZINESS AND I SIT THERE FOR A WILD. UNTIL I GET MY SAFE TOGETHER
