I know, I am only in 9th grade going into 10th, I got a 97 on earthscience regents, 92 on Living Enviorment Regents, 97 on Math A regents, and 90 on spanish test, I have a 4.0 Average (97), and I attend to take 12 AP Courses,, Do colleges look at Regents (Ivy league) in depth, meaning if I got a 92 on Bio regents, will it reduce my chance on getting in.. PLZZ TELL ME!!!!!!!

  1. Dont start getting all excited because it is so easy to get a 4.0 freshman year. You are probably very smart but i will never noe because i never met you in person. And believe me once you sit in a couple of AP classes your idea of taking 12 is going to change. But, if you stay a committed student you can probably attend an Ivy league. I took one ap last year as a freshman and i got an A, but i had to work so hard for that grade. As a sophmore next year i am taking 2 and I already know that it is going to be really tough. AP's arent the types of classes you should be taking 4-6 at a time. 3 AP are good at the most. Even with three youll have a little to basically no social life. Believe me i had a little social life with just one. By taking too many at a time youll stress yourself and your grades will drop. The only way you can take on 12 Ap's is if you are a genius, but you probably aren't. I know im not a genuis, but we both have something in common we are smart. So don't try to do more than you can handle. Please!

Daniel(AKA Bob) lol i dont know how i got that nickname

  2. **** off. I hate how everyone's plans to take 127849786904534 ******* AP courses and starts crying before even taking a single one worrying about whether they're going to get into the college of their dreams. Go away you baby. I'll talk with you after you've taken all those AP classes.

  3. You sound like a really devoted student. As for regents are concerned, I do not believe they count as much as the SATs and extracurricular activities.

  4. Colleges don't look at your regents scores. The regents are strictly a New York thing. You shouldn't get too excited about the getting into an Ivy League right now because, assuming you maintain your good grades all throughout HS, everybody applying to the same college as you has grades just like yours, if not better. Get involved with extra curriculars and volunteer and you'll probably get into a good college.
