  1. Cruises are aimed at a specific type of traveler. If you are a person who wants to explore on your own or not be bound by a set schedule, then you may not be happy with the cruise experience.I have had both positive and negative experiences on cruise ships. They are not for everyone. If you like the experience of meeting locals and getting off the beaten path, for instance, you are probably not going to be 100% satisfied with a cruise vacation. If, on the other hand, you just want to go somewhere with your friends, drink, eat and see a few things while relaxing and having a nice time, you may well be very pleased and find this a good deal for you.

While the amenities on the ship do play a role in the overall satisfaction, I think it much more depends on what you expect from a vacation as to whether you will be bored or not. Your personality also plays a role. If, for instance, you are not very outgoing and not a joiner, you may not like a cruise.

That being said, I would anticipate that a cruise around the Canary Islands would draw a more intellectual crowd than, say, the Bahamas or Jamaica. So, even if you are quieter and less outgoing or more cerebral, I would think this would be a successful cruise just based on what the islands themselves have to offer.

  2. Cruises are what you do it to. So explore the ship and find out what you want to do.

With that said older, smaller ships will not have the same sort of enterteinment as newer ones but that is right to some persons. The trick is to browse the web (or see some catalogues) and find the cruise line and the ship thats fits you best. Johan.

  3. yes cruises are boring remember when i said this

  4. i don't think you will really get bored on a cruise. vacations are always fun. you definitely won't get bored if you are going on carnival, disney, princess, royal caribbean, etc...

  5. i am just back from a cruise, i think it will depend on your ship, though these days they are all usually pretty good, i loved it, i hope you have a great time

  6. Only boring people get bored

  7. Depends which ship you go on....but very unlikely you will get bored on any of the large modern cruise ships, there are loads of things to do....rock climbing, surfing, eating of course, drinking, and going ashore....I love cruising.

  8. I'm going on the med cruise in August.  I think it depends on the actual ship you go on.

To me, the experience is not only all the different countries I will be seeing but also the ship its self.  I am going on the Celebrity Summit ship, its a really nice ship.  I know I will have a great time off and on the ship because the ship itself if luxurious.  If on the other hand it was the Easycruise, I think it be dreadful.

So, I think it depends on the actual ship you go on.  Some have theatres, ice rings, cinema, climbing walls, entertainment, spas, gyms, pools, poker rooms, ball rooms etc.  So, there is plenty to do, can't see anyone getting bored on a ship like that as well as waking up everyday somewhere different.  It all sounds well exciting.

  9. Only if you want to get bored.

That is completely up to you.

  10. You should be able book excursions at each port.  Most cruises have lots of facilities and entertainment all through the day and night.  Check your brochure or phone the cruise line.

  11. NO WAY there is so much to do! as long as your arent alone. you will meet people, they schedule events and games, there is casinos, buffets, off shore ports, and shows. its like a floating hotel

  13. depends what sort of ship it is... and what it has inside it.. and how old you are.. and who your going with, and how long its all going to be... and how much money your taking....

  14. If you get bored on a cruise, it would only because you're not trying!!  You'll have a great time!

  15. no such thing as boredom on a cruise, they have everything from activities on board like the gym, cinema, duty free shopping, entertainment, massage par-la,hairdressers,nail bars.bars restaurants of your choice, casino, shows, don't forget you stop at a different port everyday,so loads to visit and keep your self occupied,iv just came back from a cruise round the Caribbean,it was truly amazing, happy cruising you wont be disappointed I'm sure x
