Question:

Will I get bullied in high school?

I'm going to be a freshman in September and I'm nervous about getting picked on. I'm a theater geek. I love acting/singing and I have really short red hair. I've gotten a few mean comments about my hair from others. I'm afraid that it will only get worse next year. I'm growing my hair out and it should be to my chin by the time school starts, but still, should I be worried about getting picked on?

  1. nahh alot of people that i know do theater arts in high school so that shouldn't be a problem but the hair im sure no one will pick on u only the people who likes to start mess

  2. act confident but don't boast, however don't do anything weird or make a massive hoo-ha of it,  if your good at what you do and believe in it amazingly people respect you, but dont whatever you do be arrogant about it so many people have done that at my school [ in england] and they've all been shot down

  3. Don't worry. No one will pick on you.

I'm a dork. I wear glasses and have enormously thick hair and acne. I've never been bullied.

There is way more bullying on tv and movies than there is in real life.

If you like your hair, keep it the way it is. If you want a change, go for it. Don't let people make you want to change who you are.

  4. You'll be fine.  At Jr. High age everyone is out to pick on people who are different because it makes them feel better about their insecurities.  In high school everyone get more 'ok' about how everyone is different.  There will be plenty of people who share your interests (like me!!!!)  Don't worry too much and just be yourself.

  5. no... people are more accepting in high school, and some people might have the same interests as you! good luck
