Like if I have small tablet pills that are blue (which are perscribed to me), and I put them in a plastic bag, and if I'm ever pulled over, I take it out and put it in my lap?

Will I get in trouble witht he police?

  1. You won't get in trouble, but you may be detained until the prescription can be verified.

  2. Why in god's name would you want to?

Provoking the police is not a good idea, they have enough idiots to cope with, without you adding to their lot.

Your an adult, try acting like one !

  3. more than likely.  since the cops dont know what the pills are they may hook you up for possession of prescription meds because just based on the simple fact that you tell them they are yours and what they are doesnt mean anything.  you need to leave your pills in the bottle that they came in with your name and medication information on it.

  4. Yes, it is possible, depending on the type of medication and the circumstances. Especially if the medication is subject to abuse.

Once they confirmed what the meds are, and that they belong to you, you should be OK, but it could turn into quite an inconvenience.

Prescription meds should be carried in the original container. If the container is too large, you should at least carry the paperwork you got from the pharmacy.

  5. Why not just keep them in the pill bottle so you don't have to worry about it?

But, to answer your question it all depends on you.  Police officers often go off instinct.  So, are you the type of person that they will believe if you promise they are perscription or do you look like the type of person who would carry drugs?   I am not saying that there a certain "type" of person that carries drugs but the police do stereotype people.

  6. Yes you will!
