Will I get less Blisters if I Run more and my skin will get used to the friction of my shoes against my ankle?

I got a blister on the back of my foot, on my ankle from running ten miles. It has taken several days to stop hurting in my sneakers.

Once I start running more will the skin grow more firm so that blisters will be less common there?

  1. Your feet will develop a calus, but I recommend you get some mole skin and cover it up to prevent anymore rubbing and blisters. Also, might want to re-evaluate your running shoes (could be too big or something else). I use mole skin and neosporan to help heal them.

  2. yes you will build up thicker skin

  3. you re getting blisters from rubbing, and your heel moving that means your shoes are too big or not laced properly.

  4. no, with a blister already there and your sneaker rubbing on it more, it does more damage to the blister making it peel of and uncover new skin which is raw and will hurt a lot (so actually your skin will get looser from the new skin developing)

  5. your problem is you need thicker socks
