I am a junior in highschool and 15.5 will be 16 the first day of school. I need 28 credits to graduate, But I am short of 2 or 3. I flunked P.E my freshman year, Spanish 1 my sophmore year and maybe Geometry even though I did go to summer school. I was thinking of droping out my mom wont let me so I basically hate her...but if I wont graduate on time with the class of 2010 what can I do so that I will and not look stupid by taking senior pictures and buying $300 cap and gown that wont be able to be reused because the pictures can't be reused and the cap and gown have the year of graduation on the gown.

  1. First of all, get serious about school!!! It's obvious from your writing that you are not stupid. You are just wasting your talents by not working hard. And stop hating your mother. It's not worth the effort and is pretty stupid!

But about your problem. Talk to your high school counselor and tell him/her that you are determined to graduate on time and you realize that you have not taken school seriously until now. You can still do this. You might have to take summer classes next summer, take some kind of correspondence course that will transfer into your school, and never get any study hall time. But the point is, IT CAN BE DONE! And YOU can do this. Get busy figuring things out before it gets any more serious.

  2. Try talking to your school counselor. He/she might be able to work with you and get you the 3 credits you need, or offer other options for getting your diploma.
