I have just failed algebra twice. Is their still an opportunity to actually get into a decent school or should I just lower my expectations to something of lower caliber? I was planning on going to something like UC or maybe even MIT but now I'm starting to think I'd be lucky to get a 2 year from some community college. What ar emy options now?

  1. algebra isn't the end of the world.

  2. if your in high school right now. MIT will be impossible

My friend with 4.0. class rank 1. All AP classes, started college at age 16 (local colleges) and wrote a paper with a professer and still got cut.

so unless you have secret talent, don't bother with MIT

    but you definately have hope!

UC schools aren't out of your reach, try to avoid failing more classes. Don't try for berkeley though. they're picky to..

Find schools that accepts people with your grades on average.

  3. we all feel like this when we fail a class, but the important thing to understand is that theres always another chance to take the class and to work at it and do even better the next time, if youre having trouble, ask your parents about getting a tutor or go see your teacher, you are young, so you have quite a few years to get into any college, just bring up those grades with a bit of extra studying and work, and then you can decide from there.

  4. yes u will make it .......if u really want it u will try yr best 2 make it happen................good luck  :~)
