I am a Southeast-Asian living and working in America. I am a US permanent resident/green card holder and I have a Japanese visitor's visa. Will they give me a hard time at the immigration on arrival?

  1. Only if you give them a reason.

  2. Get that US citizenship and you'll see the difference on how they treat you.

... the airport is pretty efficient. you'll get your thumb prints recorded. some friendly immigration guy will ask in English, what you're doing in Japan. then you walk out.

that's basically it. just be nice, talk plain English. you're set to go.

just keep your passport with you at all times.

  3. No, it's very simple and easy. As stated before keep your passport with you at all times, it's your lifeline. The finger print and picture thing is probably the hardest part, which isn't at all. All you do with the passport is hand it to the guy waiting so he can verify it and your free to go.

  4. No. It's not that bad, just time consuming. When I went, it probably took 2 hours or so.

  5. As far as certain visa and genuine passport with returning flight ticket, Narita immigration won't let you have hard time there at all.
