I will be arriving at Ohare at 9am. I need to find the quickest way to get off of the plane, pass through security, meet someone, pick up a puppy, check in puppy and pay for the puppy travel, go back through security and get back on the plane. I have one hour and forty five minutes between flights, Is that enough time or is there a better way?

  1. It'll be close!

On your inbound flight to O'hare, the the flight attendant know what you are doing, and they may be able to move your seat to the front of the plane, perhaps saving 5-10 minutes.

Limit your carry-ons to nothing more than you absolutely NEED on the flight so you can get up and move FAST when they give the OK.

Time of day will make a big difference with security, having less with you will help there too. Wear sneakers, or something that is a slip on for quicker access in they make you take them off, NOT boots or shoes that tie.

Call someone ahead of time to find out where you need to check your precious baggage . . . or find out if there is any way to bring the pup into the cabin to save time. If there is a form to fill out, either get your breeder to do it, or get the form yourself and get it done first!

That's all I can think of off the top of my head. ;)

  2. I've never paid to bring my dog on a plane once. Depending on the size and the type of carrier, just sneak it on ;)
