Will I have to buy a new phone?

I have pretty bad hearing so i always keep my volume on my phone at maximum for when it rings and for when people talk. Today I received a call and the speaker from my phone blew out so i can no longer talk on the phone. Will the AT&T store make me purchase a new one or do you think that since it is no fault of mine i will be given a complimentary new phone?

  1. if your phone is less than a year old the warranty will cover it as long as it has not been physically or water damaged. if you have dropped your phone or gotten it wet then you will need to file an insurance claim. if you don't have insurance then yes you will need to buy a new phone.

p.s check for water damage by removing the back and the battery. on the actual phone itself there is a circle sticker that shoud be white, if that sticker is pink or red you have somehow gotten mositure in your phone.//// and if you have insurance make sure you tell them you dropped it in water or something or we will reject you

  2. If the phone is less than 30 days old they should give you a new one no problems.. if its older problem, I still have my OLD i90 nextel phone no speaker works better then that phone they just dont make phones like they used too! Maybe buy an old used i90 off ebay and see if you can use ATT to host for you with that phone I am sure they can.. I personally have to lines one with ATT with my Daughter and one of my own with nextel.. prefer the 6 yr old nextel phone, looks funky but works better then any new c**p has .. GOOD LUCK
