Will I lose weight fast doing this?

I've always done this, but now to the extremes.

I eat NO red meat.

I drink at least 4 bottles of ice-cold water a day.

I don't snack, if I feel the urge I eat a banana or an apple.

I get my exercise in Gym class.

I want to lose 30 pounds asap. I am 13, male, 5'6" and 155 lbs. Talk about being fat! So about how long will it take to lose 30 lbs doing this?

  1. Its simple. If you eat a 500 calorie meal, then do no workout. You will gain weight. If you do a workout and burn 500 calories you will stay the same weight. If you burn 600+ calories you will lose weight.

    To lose one pound per week, you must burn off 500 calories per day. Because 500 x 7 = 3500, which equals one pound. To lose 1 pound per fortnight, you should burn 250 calories per day. Good luck... xo


  2. You aren't fat.  And you most likely will not lose weight doing this because it's a regular diet...

You need to include more exercise, gym class is not enough.  You should do at least 30 - 45 minutes of cardio (walking, running, riding a bike, swimming, etc).  This will help you lose FAT.  You should also do some strength training to build muscle and get lean.  Remember, its not about losing weight, its about losing inches.

    I've been strength training and running for the past year, I gained 5lbs but went down one size.  Hopefully if I keep it up I'll go down another size, I don't care if I put on 10 more lbs!

  4. wassup bro I am going give you the best advice but it is up to you to go through with it and be consistent. First you are 13 yes old, you are still growing, and as you grow your going to slim down, just as long as you don't gain weight. Ok, so let's start off with your diet. 4 bottles of water is not gonna cut it. More like 120 ounces and up per day or you can do what I do, drink water and everytime you pee drink atleast 1-2 cups of water. Keep doing that everytime and make sure your pee is coming out clear then u know your getting enough water. As for eating, you have to eat a lot of fiber because you wanna keep your bowels moving, atleast 2-3 a day is great, this is good for your colon and food won't stay in your colon so long and turn into fat. Eat lots of fruits, vegetables and 100% whole wheat and whole grains, eat oatmeal but no instant stuff, it has added sugar, get the original oatmeal you have cook. 1% and 2% milk. Stay away from sugary cereals and foods, stay away from high fructose corn syrup which you can see on your food labels. Stay away from high fructose syrup!!! Eat chicken n fish only because good source of protein and meats take to long to digest when u trying to lose fat. Snack on unsalted peanuts, almonds, fruits and full with water and never ever go hungry, eat is better to eat alittle something. No juice or soda too much sugar a gram of sugar of sugar is a spoon full. Picture 43 of those and that's how it is in some of ur drinks. Remember you can't lose weight starving yourself, you just lose most of your muscle, trust me. Should only eat 6 meals a day with most of your carbs in morning and by nighttime mainly protein, don't eat   later then 7 if u do make it only protein cause you use less calories at nite. For exercise, stay away from weights, to put on mass you need to eat and eat, when you hear about bodybuilders, they go through a training cycle and losing cycle. You are in a losing cycle so build your endurance by doing body workouts like pushups, chest dips and tricep dips, pullups, squats, lunges, abs. You will still be losing calories and increasing heart rate. You also wanna stretch especially in the morning and at nite, this will increase flexibility and lean you out and you grow. Do this everyday, it is important. As for running, do a quick high intensity run when you jog for a min sand run hard for 15-20 secs then jog for a min then run again and alternate until u reach 15-20 mins. This will increase your metabolism to burn fat throughout the day and metabolism is what burns your fat and sweating helps you release fat and toxins. You should also jog for how many miles u want to build stamina but the high intensity will help u lose more weight. Good, the last thing ask your parents to support you because you are trying to lose weight and health foods do cost money and losing weight cost money. And dedication, the way you eating now, your wasting your time. And your gonna lose muscle cause you starving yourself and body will go to eating your muscle for energy before it goes to fat. A good website you should look at for reference to exercise programs and loads of info isbelow and good luck on losing fat email me if you need anything and I just read other people replies wrong, cold water is best for you because your body has to heat it up and that is losing calories and for the 6 meals not so many calories and carbs eat portions and breakfast should be your biggest. You want to lose fat and its true it takes 3500 calories for 1 pound of fat but as long as your metabolism is high you burn fat. So stick to that high intensity runs and body work outs.     your body needs just a little red meat ,

    dont drink ice cold water because it slows your metabolism which can make you gain weight so drink room tempature

    thats good , eat fruit

    you need MORE exercise then gym class , jog , play out side , and be active ,
