Ok, so I'm a 5'3" girl and I weigh 137 lbs. my bmi is in the average zone but I'm still kinda....wide...wider than I want to be. I started running a mile every day, and I constrict my diet to around 1200 cals. Will I lose weight? If you know any suggestions for healthy foods I should eat that would be awesome too :) (like, creative ones not just...fruit. lol~!)

  1. You might if your body really needs to.

Yeah eat things like nuts, yogurt, fruit(they are healthy! lol), vegies every night with dinner, a healthy breakfast like oats and bran with soy milk. Soy milk doesn't taste much different to normal milk.

Good exercize routine, keep it up. Also do some walking if you can. Try everyday. And buy some light weights. Heavy ones make you get bulky but lightwieghts help burn fat and lose weight. or join your local gym if you want to shape up! =)

  2. You may want to check out this plan. It will teach you how to eat, and you will lose the weight and you will not have to restrict yourself to 1200 calories.

  3. hi,

ok well you want to drink two to three litres of water each day because even though people say it just because you are meant to, it is extremly important for weightloss as your body will lose all its waterweight/sodium etc if you drink all your fluids.

    2. a great way to kick start your metabolism each day is to have a glass of warm water with lemon juice in it first thing in the morning before you eat anything. this is cleansing and detoxs your system and helps your metabolism

    3. the most effective way to lose weight is to change your exercise regime each week because if you do the same thing over and over, your body ajusts and will stop burning fat, so for instance one day go for a run, another day do running exercises (sprints etc) another day go do laps at the pool. so the idea is just to keep changing what you do, you will get results faster!

    4. now with your eating, the more exericse you do the more you need to eat otherwise your muscles deteriorate and your body goes into starvation mode. BUT this does not mean go and eat cake. eat more but eat healthily. nuts, fruit, vegies, lean protein and wholegrain carbs. make sure you have days where you allow yourself to have a little chocolate or something. now my favourite tip to kill sugar cravings is in the morning and afternoon have a cup of white tea and honey. it works trust me! i havent even thought about chocolate in days!

dont eat less, you need to eat more, crazy as it sounds but just take in this tip

eat more frequently but in smaller portions. no more than 3 hours between each snack and meal. so

    e.g.

    breakfast: 7am

    morning tea: 10am

    lunch: 1pm

    afternoon tea: 4pm

    dinner: 6.30-7pm

one more thing, try to avoid carbs at night but if you must, go for wholewheat pasta or bread

    goodluck!

  4. The only way to lose weight is through negative caloric intake. You need to burn up more calories than you take in. There are lots of ways to diet but the bottom line is negative caloric intake. Your regimen is so strict that is seems doomed to fail. A better option would be to change your lifestyle instead of going on a diet. Portion control, avoiding calorie-rich foods, and getting sensible exercise (i.e., walk for 20 minutes) will be more likely to be successful long term. Sensible food choices are endless, so you don't need to starve yourself.
