Question:

Will I lose weight with this routine?

Hey, I'm 19...110-115 5'4...I do like 600 jumping jacks everyday and like 200 situps and like 20 pushups. And I eat moderately. Will this help me lose some weight and tone up a little? I also walk around in my room a lot.

  1. Do you do "like" this many-as in you're not counting? Or are you counting so you know for sure?

    Jumping Jacks will actually help you lose weight. So will jumping rope. Instead of counting to 600, I recommend you time them. Do them for at least 20 mins, and gradually increase the time. (If you can last 30 mins to start, then start there). This kind of difficult cardiovascular exercise will burn a good amount of calories.

    The sit-ups are good, but make sure that you don't strain your neck or back, and that you are getting the obliques by doing alternating twisting sit ups/crunches.

    I recommend slowly increasing the amount of push ups you're doing. 20 isn't very many.

    Another great exercise to tone your upper body is the chair dip. Put your hands on the edge of the seat of a chair, have your knees bent and shoulder width apart, feet on the floor. Dip your body down slowly and using your arm strength, bring your body back up.

    You can also do the seat-squat with a chair. Sit all the way back in the chair and stand up again. Do this 20 times in 3 sets. You'll really tone your rear and thighs.

    Just remember that a pound of fat is equal to 3500 calories, so in order to burn off a pound of fat you have to reduce your caloric intake and increase your cardio. Resistance exercise is good because the more muscle you have the faster your metabolism becomes, which means you'll burn more calories in a day! But cardio is what takes all the excess fat off initially.

    Try to eat 5-6 small healthy meals a day, this keeps your metabolism burning strong all day long, and prevents your metabolism from slowing down due to dieting.

WOW  thats   alot  you  might  lose  weight  but  your  being  hard  on  your self   try  doing  half  of  wht  your  doing   3  times  a  week   you  should  be  okay .   you  are  already  thin    but  be  careful  you  could  send  your  body  into  shock  with   your  now  routine  be  careful  please

  5. it should help i worked out everyday doing 50 pushups everyday and 250 situps and in 3 weeks i lost 8lbs
