  1. i run about E30 to E40 in both of my vehicles, a 94 Honda Accord I4 and my 2000 Suzuki Katana. I have not seen any negative effects on them at all. I know they are not "designed to run on it" but it still works. So long as the engine doesnt run too lean then you will be fine. I work at an ethanol facility and about 85% of the guys without E85 vehicles all do the same, none have experienced any negative effects. Well unless you consider more HP a negative thing! Oh but it will deplete your MPG by a small amount since ethanol burns faster. The reason why you cant run it is because the emissions would not be compliant. Although it is actually cleaner, the vehicle was not tested to run off of it so it "wont work". Now just remember that on some vehicles (mostly newer) it really will not work. This is due to ECM A/F ratios, injector size, fuel pump type, etc. Nah mean?

  2. 10% will not hurt it

but e85 or e110 will or might not start

i run 10% mix in my cars and trucks with no problem yet

at least a year but if you have q call the dealer and ask it will not cost or hurt anything if they say yes than it is ok

    hope this helps

  3. dont do or you will mess up the engine. it was not made for it so dont use or it will be costly. It may not even start too

  4. You are not alone on your question. We will be seeing more and more people asking the same one or very close to it. I would only suggest that you talk to a parts store and find out if your hoses are made out of rubber or not. If your engine does not have any rubber gaskets or hoses you can use E85 but I would suggest no more than a 50/50 mix for now. The ethanol in the E85 for is up to 85% which really means anywhere from 70% to 85% ethanol has been added and not 85% as everyone thinks. Also ethanol is a very good cleaner for your fuel system which means.....you need to change your fuel filter after one or two tank fill ups. Also I would change out your spark plugs for a cleaner burn of your engine.

In the winter where it does get cold...like in the 40's and below, ethanol will be harder to start your car so mix more reg gas in there. If you have any problems write to me....

  5. It will damage the car. Put regular gas in it.

  6. yes your car wasn't designed for ethanol
