  1. Think of your metabolism as a car. Your car needs gas in order to work and function properly.

This will give your metabolism an unexpected slap in the face if you start all of the sudden. Everbody's body adjusts to their "cycles" so if you want to do this, keep at it until your metabolism adjusts, but you will get hungry and your will power to keep at it will soon fade away because we crave and need food.

You're going to get hungry, you're going to want food, because what ever is appetizing to you, you're going to want to eat (after not eating for about a week).

So I'm going to let you choose yourself, but never "not eat" for more than 3 days or else your body will begin the staes of starvation mode. You'll never lose weight, and eventually your body will bloat with toxins.

Overall, just don't do it, make the right choice, and eat healthy in order to speed up metabolism, don't skip meals. Give your car some fuel so it can go faster, longer!

  2. Absolutely.  You won't be consuming enough calories for basic metabolic functions.  You should aim for at least 1500-1600 calories per day if trying to lose weight.  Fasting every other day is not the way to go.  When you start to eat normally again, you will more than likely gain back any weight (and possibly more) that you'd lose that way.

  3. Yesss.

    You will.

    Don't do that.

    Unless you want to cleanse.

If you want your metabolism to speed up, eat early in the morning.

    the earlier, the better.

    Eat 5-6 small meals everyday.

it sounds like alot, but if they are small, it will work.

Everytime you eat, your metabolism is triggered.

  4. of course it will you need to eat small portioned meals at least five times a day to speed up your metabolism

  5. it may actually improve your metabolism. fasting for more than 3 days puts your metabolism on hold, but fasting for one day does not affect it at all. therefore you don't change it at all as you go on and off food every day, just make sure it's a regular schedule and you don't overeat :)

furthermore, i fast one day per week and its a lot easier. alternate fasting is really, really difficult, if you can stick with that it'd be awesome.

  6.    Yes, if you do it on a regular basis. However, there is nothing wrong with doing a "cleansing" on a monthly basis where you consume nothing but water and/or tea. If fact, I do just that every month.

But as a regular part of your diet, every other day without any food is NOT a healthy diet.

  7. why would you want to do that?  you'll just become more dizzy, dizzy.
