Will I name my Baby "L"?

My wife is 7 months pregnant, 2 months more to go... And it's a BOY! I want to name my baby boy "L". Yes! Just "L" as in the letter "L". Will I name him "L"?

I was going to tell you to give him a name that starts with L and call him L as a nickname. My cousin sometimes calls her son B instead of his full name. But after reading the answers Vii has a point, it sounds like the female name Elle.

only you & you're wife can say if you "will" name him that. but please dont! why would you? its not even a name! you can't pernounce just an "L" sound.

are u crazy? of course your not going to name "L"! your wife will have carried him around for nine mos., went thru hours and hours of contractions labor and pain and shes going to you name the baby "L"? I DON'T THINK SO! with luck you might be able to use it as his middle name.

Sorry, but don't name him that unless you want him to be teased for the rest of his life. If it was a girl I'd say, go ahead and name her Elle, but since its a boy, Ellis or Ellery are nice. Ellis John, Ellery Thomas?
