  1. u don't need a visa to travel in countries belongin to European Union, but for work is something else, u stil need visa, like almost in any other country of the world. i assume u will have a contract for that job, u can ask at embassy of Poland. Good luck!

  3. Your initial visa will be stamped on your passport, and you will be issued a little piece of paper that you need to keep in your passport at all times.

    The visa is for 3 months, and is referred to as a "visitor's visa". A few weeks before your visa expires, you will need to go into the office of the ministry, and apply for an extended visa.

    The extended visa is also valid for 3 months. If you are planning to stay for a lengthy period of time, you will need to explain that to them, and they will issue you a work visa.

    It will be valid for as long as your job is intact, but you can usually quite easily continue to extend your visa as many times as you wish, but that will be up to the office of ministry.

    There is a fee for extensions as well. About 20 bucks US. Depending on the country.

    yes you will need a visa if you stay longer than 90 days:

    U.S. citizens do not need visas for stays of up to 90 days for tourist, business, or transit purposes.  Americans should ensure that their passports are date-stamped upon entry.

    go to this page from the US on Poland:

    http://travel.state.gov/travel/cis_pa_tw...

    please go there, i have found all the consulates of Poland in the US :

    http://www.polandembassy.org/

    Work and residence visas for U.S. citizens are free of charge.

    II. VISAS ISSUED BY POLISH CONSULATES

    go to this page to read:

    http://www.polandembassy.org/

    When applying for a visa one should submit:

    Passport. It must be signed and valid for at least 3 months from the date of intended departure from Poland, with at least one blank visa page (excluding the amendments/endorsements pages at the back);

    Visa Application Form filled out and signed by the applicant. All entries of the form should be properly filled out (no blanks);

    One passport size photograph;

    Copy of the ticket - in the case of transit visa;

    Notarized copy of a "green card" or other document confirming status in US;

    Document confirming place of residence (applicable to persons applying for residence visa for the purpose of carrying work and citizens of the Russian Federation residing in the Kaliningrad Region);

    Work permit or Certificate of employment (when applicable);

    # Caution:#

    persons who intend to work in Poland must submit additionally a valid work promise certificate issued by appropriate local executive authorities (Office of Wojewoda) in Poland or an employer's written declaration confirming the intention to employ the alien if the work permit is not required. Residence visas for the purpose of carrying out work are issued only by the Polish Consul at the office appropriate for the applicant's legal permanent residence, for the period of residence not exceeding one year,

    that should answer all of your questions;

  5. Where are are you from ? If you are from EU you don't need a visum to visit Poland but you need a working permit. Ask Polish ambassy of your country.
