  1. Get intouch with your travel agent as soon as possible.  they will know if you need it or not.  I went to Bahamas last year and i needed a passport.  Better to be safe.  Call your agent - or any travel agent, they will know.

  2. If you're a US citizen you will need a passport to re-enter the country.  We just went on a cruise and we also needed passports to get on the ship.  For all adults and children

Check with your cruise line, they will have the information you need or check with your travel agent if you used one.

  3. If you are a US citizen, you need an original birth certificate and a government photo ID (drivers license is the most common, but a state ID card would work too).

A passport is ALWAYS a good idea, even though for sea cruises it isn't necessary to have one until June 1, 2009.

  4. Current regulations, if I am not wrong, require a US passport for all US citizens crossing the border.  You can check for sure on the state department's website.  It is located at www.state.gov

  5. I wish i knew the answer since i live in Baja California Mexico.  You are coming to Ensenada, is that right?

Anyways, I really don't think you need a visa. The cruise ships arrive Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.... i seriously doubt all those tourists have visas.

P.S.  We really don't think much of those white tourists who come and act like fools.... i hope you have fun!!
