Will I need a passport to cross into Canada September 08?

I travel to Canada here and there, but I am going to Toronto in Sept 2008 and I just wanna know when they are enforcing the passport rule. I have been ok using my birth certificate and photo ID, I just wanna make sure I dont need my passport for this trip. Any websites would be useful. Thanks!!! Ill be sure to vote for the best...

You won't need your passport in September, 2008.  Right now they are saying that passports will be needed to drive across the border as of summer, 2009.  Your birth certificate and government issued photo ID will take care of it in September.

Driving?  You don't need a passport until next year.

You either need a passport, OR a drivers license and birth certificate.
