  1. it depends upon your appliances. electrical supply in italy is 220v, although anything requiring 240v will work. plugs have two or three round pins, so you will need an adapter.

  2. Here is the easiest way I can think of explaining it...

Look at each plug of each appliance that you are planning to take with you. If your plug says 110- 240v.  You can take it with you and you need a small adaptor. I got mine at Staples and just took the adaptors that said West and East Europe. In Italy and many other countries in europe the size of the socket on the wall kind of varies. I have a hair dryer from Italy that sometimes I need to put an adaptor to it to be able to plug it.

Now if you plug says If it only says 110-127V.. Forget about taking it. In order for it to work you would have to lug a huge heavy converter with you and an adaptor. Trust me its not worth it.

Oh and if you plug doesn't say anything on it.. Its just a plain jane plug the rules for the 110-127v apply.

    Have a great trip.

  3. yes you will need ana dapter

go to a shop and ask for a universal adapter

  4. If you need an adaptor? It depends on what's the standard on your own Country (you didn't stated where you're from)!

Anyway, look at this guide on Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Domestic_AC...

  5. Yes you need it and you can find one at airport stores before you leave or when you arrive because universal adaptator are made to work all over the world( for example if you land at da Vinci airport there are elettronic shops at terminal B close to the pharmacy and bar and book store).
