Will I need to declare my digital camera in London?

I am preparing for my trip to London in 3 weeks, and I would like to bring my digital camera. Will I need to declare it when I get to Heathrow?

Also, would I have to declare any shampoo/conditioner? (I would be putting it in my check-in luggage of course, since there's a limit for carry-on luggage)

Basically, I'm not bringing any alcohol, food, cigarettes, anything like that. Just clothes and stuff like that.

  1. No, you don't have to declare it. They will ask if you have a laptop or a film camera, but since you don't have a film camera you will be fine. Shampoos and conditioners should be in a plastic bag, so they don't explode due to pressure, but you don't have to declare those items either.

  2. no, you don't need to declare your digital camera ... they would still know it anyway ... through the airport xray ... good that you are putting your shampoo/conditioner in your checked in baggage since all handcarried fluid are subject to strict inspection and maybe confiscated ...
