Will I receive housing allowance under the new GI Bill?

Single with no dependants. Should I still receive BAH or not?

If it gets approved.....  Yes, but the amount will depend on how many credits you are currently enrolled in and where you live.  If you aren't taking 12 or more credits per semester you only receive a percentage of the BAH.  The GI BILL isn't officially approved yet though and it isn't going to start paying out until Sep 1st 2009.

All eligible vets will receive BAH = to E-5 with dep. regardless if you have dep or not. I believe it will start              AUG 1, 2009.
