Will I receive money for my 18 and 20 year olds?

They both live with me full time and both are in college full time but unemployed.

  1. It depends, what kind of money are you talking about?

    Financial aid, possibly they qualify and if they apply.  Scholarships, maybe.  To get scholarships, recipients usualy have to have a combination of the following: 4.0+GPA, 200+ hrs. a year of community service, leadership, a passion or theme, financial need, a couple of jobs, and hardships that have been overcome.  Scholarships are difficult to get.

    They might want to think about getting a job or two, even if they are going to college full time


  2. Why would you get money for that?  Tell them to go get a job.

  3. Do you mean the "cash rebate" for Bush's economic stimulus plan, perhaps?  If so, you will receive about $300 for each one you claimed as a dependent.  Both of them were eligible, so I hope you did!

  4. You will NOT receive any money for them from Bush's tax program.  To qualify for that, dependents had to be under the age of 18 at the time that you filed.
