Will I receive my Stimulus check?

Question

Has anyone that owes back child support receieved their Stimulus check? I owe my ex back child support. I got my letter on Thursday saying my check would be here tomorrow. And I havent received anything from child support saying they will take it. I was wondering if there is a chance I may receive my check.

yes u will recive it i got my letter 14 day before i got the actually check,the irs is slow.

If the proper paperwork has been filed, then it will be taken for the back child support.

IRS is required to send you a letter letting  you know how much you qualify for and yes the letter does give you a date when the payment will be issue, only thing is IRS did not add on the letter that if you have a government debt you will not receive the rebate instead will be offset to the debt.

There's a very good chance it will be diverted to pay that past debt.

I hope it is taken for back child support.  You owe your children support!  If it isn't taken then you should give it up willingly and be a responsible parent.

me ex owes back support but he got his check i didnt get it...as long as your making payments they shouldnt take it but if you havent been payin im sure its gone...p.s. have you called your ex to see if she got it ???

Call Financial Management Services at 1-800-304-3107 and use the automated system to see if there is any claim on your rebate.

I think you can kiss you check goodbye. I do believe that if you owe any back support or back taxes they take it out first,Sorry : ( But those babies have to eat!!
