Will I stay this tall forever?

Question

I'm 14 years old and I'm only 5'. I hate being this short and all of my friends are at least 5'3 or taller. I haven't grown in like 2 years. Will I grow ever again? :(

my sister stayed short throughout jr high and then once she hit high school she was 5'8''

it could happen

go to the doctor and get an x ray of your growth plates to get a better idea

i thought i hated being short but then i walked with my shorter friends and realise i hate being tall.

Yeah, some people grow later than others. I know people who were that height at 14 who are now taller, so don't sweat it.

yea u may grow a lil but look at the bright side you wont get any shorter!

it depends,

girls usually keep growing till about a year and a half or 2 years after they start their period.

so if its been that long yea, but if not prolly not.

i recomend seeing a doctor. and asking him.

you should grow a little bit more as u are still maturing at 14.

It depends on your parents, and your grandparents. ;; if theyre short, then yes, you probably wont grow anymore. If they are tall,, expect a few more inches. Im 14 and i am like 5''3 and my doctor told me i wont get any taller in my whole life,, and my dad is like 5''8!! wierd.

You might not grow anymore or you might hit a growth spurt and grow 3 inches, it depends on how tall your parents are.

I'm 19 and only 5'1....it's not that bad, though. You can wear heels and don't have to worry about looking too tall, lol.

You might grow again, probably not much more. :( But I've heard of women growing some up until 19 of 20 but that is rare. (It won't be such a big deal when you're older you can wear heels to make you look taller.:) Hope I help.

hey, hey, hey being small is great. ok it doesn't have all the perks; taller people can reach high shelves, hold your things up so you can't get them, sometimes they look older so they can get into clubs and general consensus is that to be taller is more graceful and elegant and model-like BUT guys love small girls. words like short can be a bit belittling (excuse the pun) but think petite and very s**y. think you are cute and tiny rather than short or stout. and if you look younger, in ten/fifteen years thats gonna be a big fat bonus. everyone loves little people, they're sweet looking and fun to be around. embrace your height honestly or you'll regret it. everyone wants to pick you up and chuck you in the air, give you cuddles and pamper you. tall is cool but petite is perfection ;)

I did. I stayed 5'1 for 3 years and then just recently started growing again. You can go to your doctor and they should be able to tell if you are done growing or not.

I heard that when you get your period, you only grow slightly taller.

Also, girls stop growing when they're about 16, so you still have a chance . :)
