Question:

Will I still be able to get a stimulus check if my parents listed me as a dependent but I had a job?

And I filed my own tax return and got my own rebate. I was born before December 1990. My parents recently got their check for 1200 but no extra for having a kid. I think I know how this works but I just want to make sure from people who know more about how this works than I do. Thanks in advance!

  1. If I calculate right you were 17 last year????   You need to get with your parents and have a discussion and/or you need to get pro answers.

    okay about dependts:

    about rebate check:

There are too many variables and not enough info

  2. No, if you are their dependent you will not get a stimulus check.

If you wonder if that is fair to you, think about which you would rather have:  a measly $300-$600 from the government, or the financial support from your parents (which must be MUCH greater than $300 for you to be their dependent).

  3. If you are still living with them I hope you made sure they did not claim you as a dependant.

  4. No

  5. No, dependents aren't eligible.
