I just recentlly filled out the change of address form on the website because i still have not gotten a note or check from the irs. However it says checks should be mailed no later than july 11 and since i have no paper yet they told me to send in a change of address form and that takes 4-6 weeks to process so will i still get a check?

  1. From past experience w/the money holders and USPS, I wouldn't worry about it. It'll get there when it gets there. If it got mailed today, the 11th, then anywhere from 3 to 5 business days. Weekends not included.

  2. most likely you will recieve a check. please read if you are able to get a check. i have added the website address you should read.

i file with efile and my check was direct deposited into my bank in may.

  3. Trish,

Here is the official IRS link to check on your check status.

    https://sa2.www4.irs.gov/irfof/IRServlet...

  4. Assuming you are eligible, you'll get it eventually, but it will very possibly be delayed until your change of address is processed.

  5. If the IRS had your old address when they were processing your stimulus rebate the check would have been issued and sent to the old address.  From there it likely went back or will go back to the IRS as not deliverable.  If you have not heard anything from the IRS after six weeks from the date that you mailed the change of address call this number at the IRS, 1-866-234-2942.
