I have already recieved my Refund for 2007, But the Tax Preparer that did my return didnt add all income which is Social Security. So they went back in and fixed the problem and I mailed it On June 3 2007. So how long will it take to get it back?

  1. If your original return qualified you for the stimulus payment, you'll get the payment although it will probably be delayed due to filing the amendment.  If the original return did NOT qualify you for the stimulus but with the added social security you did qualify, you'll get it but it could take until November or so.

Most amendments don't affect eligibility for the stimulus, but an amendment adding ss that makes you eligible when you weren't on your original return will still be used.

  2. Yes, you will get the rebate if you qualify.

The rebate payment is equal the amount of tax liability on the return (tax liability on the return Form 1040 line 46 or Form 1040A line 28) with a minimum amount of $300 and a maximum amount of $600 for individuals.

  3. If the SS income is what is qualifying you for the stimulus, it will take 8-12 weeks to process.  If you file and annnenmet and they havent sent you stimulus check yet then you will get the stimulus when they finish processing the ammendment.
