  1. (The specifics of this answer assume you are located in the North America, but you would still need an antenna anywhere in the world)

    Yes you will.

Analog and digital  TV broadcasts are sent out over the air in a very similar way. In North America the same antennas are  used for both analog digital reception, so if you get good analog reception now you should be able to use the same antenna.

Some people find that they do need a better antenna. Keep in mind that the idea that there are "HD antennas", "Digital antennas", and the like is just marketing BS. Doing an intelligent job of picking a new one depends on things like your location and previous experience with analog reception.

There is a common misconception that the change is to HDTV. That is not correct. The change is to digital (DTV) over the air broadcasts. Some of these are in HD and some are not. This doesn't matter if you are using a converter box with your old TV; the converter changes all of them to a DVD like quality analog signal which is the best that older TVs can handle.

  2. yes

  3. If your getting your TV reception over the air, you'll need an off-air HD antenna. If you have cable or sat no, but bend over cause they're going to charge you more for HD service. Your TV needs to be a newer unit that can recieve digital signals.
