Our Aussie boys are coming home next week to prepare for our series in West Indies...Will the IPL teams survive and do as well with out them playing?....

before you say "yes ofcause',just think how many runs our Aussies have scored over there for their IPL teams...

I have not followed a bit of IPL but i just had a look and surprise, surprise the Aussie boys are the tops scorers.....

In the top 10 there are 5 Aussies..Symonds @ 2

M.Hussey @3

M.Hayden @ 4

S.Watson @ 7

and J.Hopes @ 10.....

Congrats to Brendan McCullum for being No 1.....

So how do you think the top teams will do with out their Top Hitters?

Nows the time to see who the real IPL teams are....

  1. it will survive

  2. what?

    is this for real?

this is really a shocking news/

I read in google just now that they have  a tour with WI 3 testes,5 ODIs & T20 in may-june.

If aussies are leaving, one part of IPL entertainment is lost.I can't really take this news.Chennai will miss hayden & hussey who were a powerhouse for that team & Punjab will miss hopes who was offering a lot to them & Deccan chargers will miss symonds. But I hope Gilly will not be leaving as he is retired. That would be heart breaking.Good that my bangalore team does not have any aussies.

Thanks for the very sad information though.Let me see.

  3. i dont think watson is cuming bak...since he is not even on the team...n hopes tooo..i think..

but wat i feel is the team that is gonna be affected the most is the chennai one....and decan chargers..the rest r gonna be alrite...

  4. See again we have the same thing, Indians are the "ICON" players but just on papers...Aussie and others simply proved what they are, the Indians couldnt. A good knock by Sehwag and Rohit Sharma and some others too, but didnt made much difference.

But hey, those top ten players you talking about, they were of just one game, Brendon made 150+ in one game and flopped in other. Hussey made 140 and flopped in other. Hayden made 80 but culdnt score much in first one. Symmo too made that in just one game.

But, Rohit Sharma, thrashed the opponents in two consecutive games, sending the ball everywhere, Sehwag made good runs in both games. Though they arnt the top scorers, but certainly give a lot of thrills...

So, my opinion, it wont bother much...there are many others, Gayle, Smith, Gibbs, Sangakkara, Raina, Gambhir, Brendon etc...

  5. s it will survive without  Aussies. if indians get chance thn thy will rock 4 sure ex. raina, ishant, etc,

  6. Thanks for the info Gilly. Its great to know our boys are doing well. No surprise there,i must say. I mean playes like Haydos,Hussey and Symmo got to do well irrespective of the matches they are playing.

I  think the teams will suffer badly when the boys go off to West Indies. Even McCullum will be going off to England,if iam right.I think it will be the real test for the teams to cope with the sudden loss of their best players.

Ponting too will be in form before he leaves to Windies, iam sure.

Can't wait for the boys to pack up and go to Windies and play some real cricket. To play for pride rather than for money.

I miss seeing them in baggy green and yellows.

  7. When international players starting to pack up you'll find they will increase the amount of propaganda being used to promote IPL as to continue the hype going, spectators might be lesser in the stadium but Indians of course will have a different view.

To Kookee;  I think Ponting is in decline (india vs australia saga continue?), maybe he purposely play poorly, will see and find out what his true form is when he tour to carribean, if he be dropped from the team then I will truly believe needs to ahve a rest to get his act together....  just my thought.

  8. Yes actually. Because many pak pklayers are coming and also other teams are joining so no way to think about this.

reaplacements will be coming and if the teams have balance amount then thsy can always pick a person n ow also

  9. Yes,but, Pakistanis  are coming  and also some

    South Africans

Also,  Warney ,Gilly and McGrath  will stay, don't know abt

    David Hussey.

I agree Hussey,Hayden,Symonds,Watson,Hopes will be missed

Also the NZ  and WI guys will leave

As long as the main India guys, like Dhoni and Co  are there,IPL has not much problem

Top  Indian players  are not seen regularly in domestic matches, they play only intl matches usually,IPL is an

    exception.

  10. It's strange because the Windies players are playing on til the end of the IPL. Well done to your guys for scoring the runs in the IPL, youv'e proved that the Aussie players are still great players. and also your players will have confidence going into the India series later this year.

The IPL will carry on being a success, YES !! they will miss Symonds, Lee and Hussey, BUT they still have more than enough players to carry on and put great matches on.

As for the Aus vs WI series, expect 3 matches won by an innings for Australia

EDIT- What about Ponting ??. He is in such bad form !!! Could he be dropped ?

  11. See, IPL has given them such a gr8 platform to rebuild their lost image and also make them popular in India.

A few months ago, every Indian hated Symmonds, but now the Hyderabadi supporters are chanting his name to encourage him score well.

Now as the Aussies wont be there, others would get a well deserved chance to make a name for themselves.

  12. That will sort the men from the boys I should think Gilly! It will be a blow to the teams to lose some of their best run getters.

  13. go australia

  14. First of all, IPL is not a cricket. It is just a fun & money game .You can't judge the capicity of a player in 20-20 match.Only test match & one day (50 overs) is a game of cricket.IPL will servive due the money involvement.

  15. Some teams may struggle but I think they'll go fine. Can't see how Symonds is in top ten at number 2 though, batting figures below what was expected. Would have expected Hussey to be top rated aussie batter

  16. nice information let's see wat happens after their departure.

  17. So wat ??they'll b replaced by young players who serve their country in future...

and dont forget Southafrican players(Gibbs,Ntini,Smith,Boucher,...) r still available for IPL

  18. I dont think the IPL teams will do as well without the Aussies being there..in recent games look how well Hussey, both the Husseys!  Symonds , Hayden and Warne have performed. Im wondering who will take their place..English players, Indian players? Also I believe the Indian crowd has enjoyed seeing the Australians play with  their Indian test cricketers after the tense test here between India and Australia.   I think the bonding between the Australians will be even stronger for playing against each other. The West Indies should provide them with little problems. My main concern is with the form and captaincy of Ponting. He needs to have a big innings to restore his own confidence.
