Will Icing a minor Nose Fracture be a good idea??

Question

My nephew hit me in the nose Sunday night, and I felt a sudden pain. By Tuesday morning, my nose was very swollen and tender to the touch I was also congested in that nostril. (It hurt like h**l!!) I have been taking Tylenol and it helps with the pain and Icing it everyday, and the swelling seems to be going down a little.My question is, If I'm not in a lot of pain anymore, and I can breath a little easier, can I save myself a trip to the Doc. By keeping Ice on it??Again, I think it is only minor and I read that the swelling can last for 2 weeks!?. What else would U suggest that doesn't require a trip to the Doc.(I'm leaving for school on Tuesday and I don't have Time to see Doctor)

when u first got hit you should have iced it and you should continue to ice to help reduce the swelling.if it looks crooked then i might suggest seeing a doctor because it might be broken but for now just ice and try not to get hit in the nose anymore.
