India has to try really hard to level the test series. There is further bad news for Indian elite as all the top 5 batsman have fallen in the ICC Test rankings.

Its a do or die situation. Waiting your feedback.

  1. Well, Sri lanka is really a tough opponent to beat at home, and you are probably right by saying  that India will have to put in their best efforts to level the series. Even to draw the next test at Galle starting from 31st, India will have to try hard and each player of  needs to perform for the team. Securing a victory in this situation is tough no doubt, but I won't say that it's impossible. Our players have the potential of beating any team, if they play with a positive approach. The Indian test batting lineup is arguably the best on paper, but our batsmen must get rid of their inconsistency, and play Murli and Mendis with more confidence, instead of being terrorized by the deadly combination of these 2 spinners.

India has faced such "do or die" situations even before, but they have always managed to strike back. So, perhaps, with the determination, right temperament, and proper teamwork, India would atleast be able to pose some challenge to Sri Lanka in the Galle test, rather than meekly surrendering to their opponent, like they did in the 1st test.

As for the ICC rankings, Indian batsmen need not bother about it much, and should concentrate only on their game. Their ranking would automatically improve if the fabulous 5 keep performing consistently.

  2. If they win the toss

    they'll get a slight chance

    if not

    NO chance

  3. well cricket game depends on the  team spirit which both teams  have it.india  is  a  good team in test career records than sri lanka.

but india  cannot  play murli n mendis  harshly.

like  mendis n murli took 8 wickets in asia cup finals .

  4. India, especially the seniors start from a slumber.

It will be creditable for them to wake up early and put up a fight even if they don't win.

Previously Indians were known to be good players of spin. But these days once they become test players they occasionally play Ranji,Duleep cricket leading to lack of exposure to  spin.

  5. Noi'm afraid  to say that , the test match will end with Sri Lankans winning note

  6. i'm sorry to say, the test match result is too much dependent on the result of the toss !

if India wins the toss and bat first, they can use the fresh pitch to their advantage and score may be 450+ and as the pitch starts showing signs of wear, put Sri Lanka in !

otherwise , no chance, it will be a repeat of first test and we all will watch a better test team losing once again just because they can't do anything about it, just unplayable conditions and again the combo will get 19-20 wickets and the rest of the bowlers will get none !

    good Q!

    god bless!

    best regards!

  7. No way!! Its either gonna be a SL victory or a draw!! India will not be able to win the next match!!

  8. Yeah if the batsmen play well. Like they say, it's India's batsmen vs. Lanka bowlers (though they're batsmen got 5 centuries in all). Thats what they say..India's strength lies in its hyped- batsmen. If Rahul Dravid plays well (not too slowly) and holds the innings together by allowing others to go for they're shots and NOT get OUT to Mendis, then we have a chance. also Tendulkar, Ganguly and Laxman need to play well. Our bowlers were the most disappointing!! (the spinners)

Also, Im not very fond of anil Kumble's planning....no offense to his fans

    :D

  9. its really diffilcult

  10. no

  11. ok

  12. It is reported that spinner friendly pitch will be prepared for the 2nd test.  Hence it will be an uphill task for India to win the 2nd test,.  However, if India manage to win the toss, their chances of winning the match will be slightly better.

  13. No.Its a big task for the Indians to come back from the mauling they got from the lankans in the 1st test.So called world class batsmen and great players of spin  were clueless to the guiles of Murali and Mendis. Also our bowling and fielding is below average. Our(India) spinners cant do anything blaming the pitch is slow, where our counterparts were able to deliver.A world class bowler should be able take wickets in any kind of surface.Overall the lankans are far ahead in all departments.

  14. India can, but they have to work really hard in all three areas of the game, plus the huge loss probably hurt the teams confidence in the game.  I personally don't think they can because they only got 4 days to fix basically everything.

  15. noooo ..............

really sorry... india won't win !
