Israel has an existential right to do everything and anything, including the use of nuclear weapons, to prevent Iran from possessing a nuclear capability.  If the USA does not act, then yes, absolutely, Israel will and must.

The Iranian president as well as their supreme mullahs have made it public knowledge on countless occasions that they intend to destroy ( annihilate ) the State Of Israel.  They have further stated that it is the moral duty of any islamic state possessing a nuclear weapon to use it against The State of Israel.  

   If your next door neighbor announced to you that he was going out to buy a shotgun with which he intended to kill you and your entire family, what would you do ?

An attack on Iran by either Israel of the USA is rapidly looking increasingly unlikely. Russia and Iran have signed even more comprehensive agreements recently, and Russian jets now periodically patrol Iran's airspace (at Iran's invitation.) Russia wasn't kidding when they said an attack on Iran would be considered an attack on Russia. Bush's abrupt about-face and the beginning of diplomatic relations with Iran pretty much signals the end of the idea of an attack on Iran.

Hope so at least, $10 a gallon plus gas would be a real pain.

Yes, because they know we'll be right behind them.  Hopefully Obama will be elected before this happens and can diplomatically calm Iran down.  If McCain is elected then count us in another war.  Joe Lieberman (Jewish) doesn't follow him around just because he likes to travel and walk.
