Yeah, probably before the election unless McCain starts to slide in the polls. Let's hope not, though. Russia and Iran are friendly with eachother (if not allied) which could really start, as you called it, a third world war.

They won't do that without the US go ahead and I can't see that happening.  For one thing, what if the Iranians bombed the Israeli nuclear weapons at Dimona?  They are probably capable of that in terms of technology and that could cause radiation poisoning of much of "Israel" and the wind would carry it who knows where...throughout much of Europe and North Africa???

Maybe,  but  I  hope  not,  their  only  ally  would  be  USA, and  then  it would  be  us  against  Russia,  China,  and others  who  would  defend  Iran.
