Question:

Will JB Weld adhere something to concrete?

I need to figure some way to hang a portrait on concrete without actually putting a hole in it. The portrait is heavy and I know JB Weld would most likely hold but I'm not sure if it'll actually adhere it to the wall.

  1. It will hold, at least for a while. Unless the spot you apply the JB is perfectly spotless free of dust and all that, it will eventually fail. Your best bet is a concrete anchor such as a Redhead, but if you choose not to drill into the concrete, than I would suggest liquid nails over JB weld. Granted this will become a permanent application, so if one day you need to remove it, expect to lose the backing of your portrait, and also expect to have some fun scraping the wall.

  2. look on the package!, if iam not mistaken, it will adhere to cement, and most other stuff too.

  3. i wouldn`t trust jb weld , you need a concrete anchor in the wall ,just one small anchor would do the trick ,also you could drive a concrete nail in the wall .I got some short ones that i used to hang all my picks and stuff in my office. They hold alot more than you think .
