  1. The East-coast hype machine will make sure it happens.

  2. It's his first year and if he can pitch this well in the future he may get to be a CY Young winner. However, this question is being asked way, way, way too early. As for hall of fame? Again way too soon to ask. A pitcher almost needs 300 wins to make it and Mussina most likely won't make that so Joba?

  3. yes he will! I LOVE JOBA! <3333

  4. No. to both. So far his career is looking a lot like Kerry Woods. The Yanks should keep him in the bullpen and then when Rivera is finished then let Joba be the closer.

  5. how about having him make it thru one season before we go crowning him anything

  6. Let's let Joba get some experience before annointing him. Remember these name: Mark Fidrych, Matt Morris, Mark Prior, Rick Ankiel, Kerry Wood, Steve Avery...I could go on.

All of the above were supposed to be sure-fire superstars. Most had at least one outstanding year but then injuries derailed their careers. I'm not a Yankees fan, but I am a baseball fan and I want to see Joba have a long successful career...but lets wait and see before we put him in the Hall.

  7. Joba definitly does have the stuff to be both a cy young winner and a hall of famer.  I think its to early in his career to tell if he will be a hall of famer, but I think he will win atleast 1 cy young award

  8. Nobody cares about the Yankees!!!

  9. No i personally think Joba is better off pitching in the bullpen and the Yankees should prepare him to be Marianos replacement for when he retires.

  10. possibly the most overrated and overhyped player in the major leagues.

  11. he will win a  cy young he is a great young pitcher with much potential

but sorry hall of fammer, nahh i think not

  12. It's not fair to put this much pressure on this kid.  Just let him do his thing for about the next 10 years and we will see where he ends up.  There are plenty of things for him to accomplish before you even talk about CY Young or HOF.

  13. Maybe, and my question about the Rays, you said that Im a bandwagoner, well guess what, Ive liked the Rays since 2007, and I knew they would win the AL East, so dont call me a bandwagoner, just because I like a young team, and because I dont like the Red Sox and Yankees.

  14. i think he can but he has to get more innings and just take it one step at a time

  15. Can He.

    Yes.

Will He. Yet To Be Seen.

You can't make an assumption on 1 year of Major League Service.

  16. all he has is a wicked fastball he needs to improve his other pitches in the offseason if he does ya and ya

  17. WaaaaaaaaaaY too early to tell.

He only has about 113 innings in the majors.

  18. If he can stay healthy who knows....the sky is the limit
