Will the Bucs hold on to Jack or will they trade him away in the off-season like they did with Bay and Nady?

  1. I think they will trade him to a team in need of a shortstop for prospects.

  2. I think the Pirates will hang onto Jack Wilson for next season. The Pirates ownership is stupid, but not that stupid to let him go. He is definitely a piece of a "championship contender" ownership needs to keep if they want to create a winning team.

Even if the Pirates would try and trade Jack, I honestly don't believe they would be able to get a lot in return for him. He doesn't have the market value Bay or Nady had when they were traded.

Jack Wilson should be in a Pirates uniform for 2009.

  3. I think he will stay with the Pirates. I think if the Pirates are to have a winning record soon, Wilson should be the Pirate who will be there for it. He has played for Pittsburgh for the longest of anyone on the roster I believe, and has dealt with all of the losing seasons. He is signed through the 2009 season, and I think that the Pirates should keep him. He's been the starting shortstop for a while and all of his seasons have been decent.

I sure hope the Pirates keep him, as he has been a big part of the team for a long time, and definately deserves to stay with the Pirates, as they should get better with all of the young talent they have.

  4. Pirates need any help they can get..... They should trade their whole team.. Have not done anything since Bonds, bonilla,Van Slyke, Lind, Moreno and Bream let the team.... they need help and a manager//

  5. I'm so worried about Jacko. He's my favorite Pirate and one of my favorite players in all of MLB. He's all heart.

I want him to be the starting shortstop, but the Pirates ownership is awful, so who knows what they'll dictate.
