Will Job Corps transfer me if I ask?

I'd like to join job corps and get my life back on track. but I currently dont wish to be in my home state. I dont just want to "transfer" in my region either, I'd like to go to the job corps in nevada. I have friends down there, and it would nice to be around people I can have fun with while I get my life back on track. Any ideas if this is possible?

  1. Yeah, just contact job corps in Nevada.....it is easier to start off at that location than to transfer later. They won't pay for relocation, but you can get a bus ride for just a little money....they will pay you to work and train....good luck!

  2. Go to your local job corps and let them know you want to go to Nevada.  They will help you get started, and you should be able to handle it all from where you are.  You have to make sure that what you want to study is available down there, but your local office will help you with that, too.  Also, you don't always have to live on their campus to take part in their program.  I just found that out a couple of months ago.
