Question:

Will John McCain oulaw abortion?

I just saw an Obama ad which claimed, "if elected, John McCain will outlaw abortion in this country". Really? How do you foresee this happening? Will he sign a Presidential Order on January 21? Obama is a lawyer and should know better that this-it will never happen and this is fear-mongering at its worst. What do you think?

  1. Most people who have any intelligence should see right through Obama. I hope we have enough intelligent people.

  2. If you think for one moment that he won't try then you better think again.

  3. no they can't outlaw it!

but they can put more strict laws on it...

    i'm pro-choice!

    so i hope obama wins!

  4. NOPE

there is a difference between lip-service and action. One day the Religious Right will figure out which one they are getting from the GOP.

  5. Of course not. Republicans trot out abortion every four years, and every four years the pro-lifers fall for it. If they wanted to ban it, they could have done it in the seven years they had full control.

  6. I am not an evangelical.  I do think if people thought things through before having unprotected s*x with a new friend or a one-night -stand with anyone, we wouldn't need abortion.  If women weren't selling there drug addiction-ed bodies  for more drugs, they wouldn't need abortions.

There are people that use abortion because of their bad choices. Their bad choices!  A 10 year old victim of rape or incest didn't make a bad choice!  They were victimized!  I would let that family choose.

Sarah Palin  wants NO abortion and I'm sorry, unless you walk in the shoes of a parent who is dealing with a 10 year old pregnant daughter who was raped, you can't decide.  You're not there mentally!  No one can fathom that horror unless they're there.

She may want it, but it would never fly!  Restrictions on abortion?  Maybe in some states, doubtful.

  7. McCain does not support the fundamental right to an abortion.  If Elected as President he will have opportunity to appoint Supreme Court Justices who would/may rule against abortion rights.  In the same token, he may also sign laws that would restrict womens rights.

I think there has been a steady movement to reverse Roe V Wade and if certain conservatives had their way it would have already been done away with.

  8. Fortunately Bush never had the cajones to try, because he knew fiscal conservatives would desert him over it. Instead Bush issued many executive orders which limited women's rights to make moral choices. With nutcase Palin on the ticket, McCain might be pressured into trying even more evil tricks that Bush did.

So this is not fear mongering. Even with the vast majority of Americans favoring allowing women to make moral decisions for themselves, we have lost too many protections.

  9. I think you are wrong, Smoove B.

McCain has promised to appoint only "originalist" (which is con code for hardcore conservative) justices to the Supreme Court.

One more justice like that and it is bye bye Roe v. Wade.

  10. We can only hope so!

  11. Palin wants american girls who are pregnant through rape to have the baby.

And she wants american boys to go off to war and die in Gods war.

What a crazy world we live in.
