Will Jose Medellin be executed today at 5 PM in Texas?

I guess I am just curious what people think and I hope you don't get offended or upset... So please do not read this if you might be.

This unfortunate young man is very proud of his Mexican nationality, as he says in a long letter printed on "Canadian Coalition Against the Death Penalty" ( see link: http://www.ccadp.org/josemedellin.htm ). It is a very revealing, sympathetic self portrait of this sad young man. He likes reading and loves watching all sorts of sports, "go Astros", but the unfortunate circumstance of his incarceration finds him without TV and even radio at the time of his letter. He says he came to America with his family as a young boy and hoped for a brighter future but not because he was not proud of his country… as he says, " I am a Mexican through and through !". He dropped out of school in the 9th grade but explains, " not because I couldn't handle the work, because if you give me the time of day, you'll see that I've quite intelligent". He had hoped to return to Mexico and join the Mexican Military. That would have been a good idea since he was in America illegally and apparently didn't have any desire to become a citizen of this country.

Alas, as he says, " I had everything in order, but as I said, the world takes twists and turns when it gets ready to, no matter if you are ready for the move." Boy is that the truth… Jose! Jose's little life twist came that day he chose, along with several gang buddies, to multiply and brutally rape, in a number of shocking ways, for an entire hour to innocent girls, ages 14 and 16. After the rapes, they were tortured and then horribly murdered and left to rot in the Houston, Texas heat. The investigating officers said it was the most brutal rape they had ever investigated. It's really going to anger the Mexican government and lots and lots of hateful activists plan to protest! I guess we'll find out at 5 today. We don't give diddly-squat what the Mexican government thinks.  They can whine and scream all they want....Medellin should have been executed years ago.  It's time the Mexican government butts out of our business and starts taking care of their own people, instead of encouraging them to illegally invade the U.S!
